After two sold out runs, DEAR BLACK PEOPLE FESTIVAL is back 5th – 6th July 2022 at the Pleasance Theatre, hosting the voices of emerging black writers – BOOK TICKETS.

This two-day work-in-progress theatre festival provides Black British Playwrights with the opportunity to tell unique, innovative and fearless stories, offering insight into their lived experiences.

Excellence Theatre is an ever growing platform showcasing the work of black creatives. Excellence is creating a driving force within their artists, empowering them to produce work that is strong, courageous and unapologetically black.

Excellence Theatre was founded by Artistic Director Aaliyah Antoine and Leading Light Collective in 2019.
